Sorry about yet another wireless question but I can't find anything similar happening in other discussions. I've got a Linksys WMP54G PCI wireless card. I downloaded the drivers and ran ndiswrapper -i rt2500.inf and ndiswrapper -l gave me Code: Installed ndis drivers: Ndiswrapper -m went fine. Things go wrong when I go rt2500 driver present, hardware present Code: root@mythtv:/home/mythtv# modprobe ndiswrapper
Segmentation fault Anyone know where I went wrong? The ndiswrapper site recommends entering "depmod -a" before "modprobe ndiswrapper". I tried that to with no luck. |

what version of ndiswrapper and have you tried other versions of the winxp driver? I had problems with using older drivers. Also I have just posted on my own post that I had problems with the USB 2.0 driver casueing my wireless nic to stop working. hope this helps Steve |

Thanks for the suggestion. I've been able to get this card up and running using Gentoo before with the same drivers, so I'm thinking it's my lack of debian know-how that's to blame. So now I'm going to plan B, but have hit a newbie problem that I just can't seem to get google to answer for me. I'm trying the rt2500 open source drivers, which require the kernel-headers package. Apt-get can't seem to find kernel-headers-2.6.13.2-chw-3, so I assume I need to add a server to my /etc/apt/sources.list. Anyone want to take pity on me and tell me if I'm on the right track and what that server might be? Thanks |

Why would you need headers when you can find the entire kernel source in /usr/src?! ![]() |
