Sorry about yet another wireless question but I can't find anything similar happening in other discussions. I've got a Linksys WMP54G PCI wireless card. I downloaded the drivers and ran ndiswrapper -i rt2500.inf and ndiswrapper -l gave me
Code:
Installed ndis drivers:
rt2500  driver present, hardware present
Ndiswrapper -m went fine. Things go wrong when I go
Code:
root@mythtv:/home/mythtv# modprobe ndiswrapper
Segmentation fault

Anyone know where I went wrong? The ndiswrapper site recommends entering "depmod -a" before "modprobe ndiswrapper". I tried that to with no luck.

what version of ndiswrapper and have you tried other versions of the winxp driver? I had problems with using older drivers. Also I have just posted on my own post that I had problems with the USB 2.0 driver casueing my wireless nic to stop working.

hope this helps

Thanks for the suggestion. I've been able to get this card up and running using Gentoo before with the same drivers, so I'm thinking it's my lack of debian know-how that's to blame.

So now I'm going to plan B, but have hit a newbie problem that I just can't seem to get google to answer for me. I'm trying the rt2500 open source drivers, which require the kernel-headers package. Apt-get can't seem to find kernel-headers-2.6.13.2-chw-3, so I assume I need to add a server to my /etc/apt/sources.list. Anyone want to take pity on me and tell me if I'm on the right track and what that server might be? Thanks

Why would you need headers when you can find the entire kernel source in /usr/src?! :)
