Can someone tell me how I need to burn the iso to disk so it will boot from it? I tried burning several times and tried booting from the dvdrom drive but nothing happened.

Use a program like Nero, on Windows. It's got an option for an ISO file.
Your PC should be able to boot from it too, right? So you can determine whether or not it's the PC, or the disc. i.e. if your desktop boots from it ok (when set to boot from CDROM) but the HTPC doesn't, then it's something wrong with the HTPC. OTOH, if your desktop PC won't boot either, then it's the disc.
Use Nero, make sure it's a CD not DVD, and that you use the ISO option, not just burning the file as a "data disc".

Actually, I'm using Linux. But, you are correct. I was burning as a data disk on a dvd. :( Dang...I don't think I have regular cd's anymore. Thanks for your help.

Ha! Now, isn't that something? I just went back and clicked directly on the ISO and bingo-bango! I let it do what it wanted to and now I have a perfectly bootable disk!

Yes, it is a great program! Obviously far smarter that I! ;)

Thanks.

Hmmm...Now I have a new problem. My keyboards don't seem to want to work when in the bios, or when I'm in the installation screen for setting up KnoppMyth. I had been having trouble with other issues, such as my mouse not working at all....just a pointer that doesn't move until I manually get into the mouse/hardware section as root and it looks for the mouse...suddenly BAM...we have mouse!
