Have a look at the guide data on oztivo, and see if there are gaps in 7 and 10.
Mythfilldatabase has a --refresh-today option (I think), in case there's some weirdness left over from some other grabber.
I'll have a look at the code and see if I can stop if sticking new channels where they aren't wanted.

Are you *sure* you used my script for this output? Output looks unfamiliar. What does your xmltv config file look like (you can blank out the username and passwd)?
However, I also get the failure messages, but either for data that's not yet at oztivo (too far in advance) or already cached.
If you remove the cache it'll just re-fetch. "rm .mythtv/cache/*" does it for me.

I tried this on my test Mythdora box (as knoppmyth won't run on a Core2 3G with Intel Gig Ethernet) and it does the same thing. It must be a dependency miss match with fedora (perl I think) because it runs fine on knoppmyth. Also Mythbuntu has the same issues as mythdora, so I think it's something knoppmyth has that the others don't that causes this.
for ref: my Knoppmyth box is an older Core2 1.86 with 100mb LAN SATA2 DVD and HDD (as PATA DVD won't go) and works fine under 5F27.

ok cool mines a amd dual core which runs knoppmyth fine just happened to be a mythdora install i ended up keeping on it, the other 2 backend slave servers are knoppmyth and all front ends are knoppmyth except for one stray debian box with mythtv on it.
i want to move to knoppmyth for master server but to much crap on it and cant be stuffed resetting it up it works why break it. when it craps itself will do it then as its a pain for anything thats not standard ie upgrades etc

Why do you have so many channels listed???
You *must* only select those that you have selected in oztivo. Selecting a global yes means it tries to download everything available and put it into your database. Result will be all sorts of weirdness, or loads of error messages.
Way back at the start of this post, I listed instructions on how to generate the config file easily. http://knoppmyth.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=17832&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=15 Why not try it?
Or, delete all lines other than the right ones and run mythfilldatabase again.
Also, you have no password in your config file, which you will need to fix.
Mike

i have only listed the ones i want downloaded but it still downloads all channels.
i did generate the config file via your instructions but it adds every channel for some strange reason i then manually deleted the ones i no longer needed, one i have pasted is after i had re-run every thing again
password is there i didnt copy paste the first two lines, i typed them in and put username twice by mistake
im guessing its just a mythdora problem. will setup a new knoppmyth server this weekend and move all data across, was waiting for next release.
on a side note it still collects and displays 99% of the data

hey guys
I need to have a crack at fixing this ASAP (mrs is about to kill me...)
Is manicmike's script on page 2 of this thread the best option we have a present?
Thanks

Hi there,
It may not be the most popular method out there, but i installed shepherd about 2-3 weeks ago, and it works fine. Ignoramus here, but i think it possibly ignore the oztivo grabber, but populates using the other grabbers fine...
Cheers,
Nathan

If it prevents a murder, tell us what channels you watch, and we will send you a .xml file to insert.

Code: % cp tv_grab_au_oztivo.pl tv_grab_au_oztivo-qld.pl
% vi tv_grab_au_oztivo-qld.pl [change my Sydney channel names and xmltvIDs]
% perl tv_grab_au_oztivo-qld.pl --output qld.xml
% gzip qld.xml
qld.xml.gz and tv_grab_au_oztivo-qld.pl are now on the wiki.
http://www.knoppmythwiki.org/index.php? ... db82df.bin
http://www.knoppmythwiki.org/index.php? ... e3db27.bin
You could try 'gunzip qld.xml.qz' and 'mythfilldatabase --file 1 -1 qld.xml' or 'mythfilldatabase --file 1 qld.xml' but that will probably insert 9 new channels into your database, because the xmltvids don't match.
Run something like 'echo 'select callsign, name, xmltvid from channel;' | mysql -u root mythconverg' to work out your ids, and edit those into the script (along with your OZtivo login id). Or just provide them for me, and I will update the xml file.

Cheers, Nathan Shepherd works just fine with OzTivo http://minnie.tuhs.org/twiki/bin/view/TVGuide/ as long as you put in your correct CamelCase username and pwd at the config stage.
(Hint: if you want to speed Shepherd up and you don't care about bandwidth-hungry imdb & thetvdb data augmentation, then disable those postprocessors.)
