So this is my first foray into the wonderful world of HD, building a mythbox for my mom of all people. Got everything set up and working fairly easily but now I have an issue that I can't figure out. Version is R5C7. I am able to record and watch live tv just fine for most of the channels coming out of the Comcast box, a Motorola DCT-6200. However certain channels will not tune in at all and I get the usual Firewire: No Input in 15 seconds error from the backend. There seems to be no rhyme or reason as to which channels do this though. It is consistent in that it is always the same channels that don't work, but they appear to be random channels. Like I can record from all of the HD channels except for Discovery HD. So I thought it may have something to do with encyption on that channel but there are also SD channels that don't work, like Comedy Central (oh the humanity). Comedy Central is on channel 60, and I can tune to channel 59 and 61 just fine. I am baffled... The only similar issue I could find was this: http://mysettopbox.tv/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=7438 I haven't tried it yet (not near the box) but it doesn't sound like my problem. So if anyone has any ideas or things to test for let me know please, I am at my wit's end. |

Well I think my problem might be 5c encryption. Found this post on the mythtv-users list: http://www.gossamer-threads.com/lists/m ... ers/172698 I hope this is not the problem but I have a feeling it is. Comcast can bite my ass if it is the problem... I'll let y'all know what I find... |
