As in the title really. I stumbled across this earlier today while looking for something else completely different. Thought I'd post a link for anyone in the UK to apply. I don't know how to apply the patch or even if it works. It's here anyways: http://brej.org/dvb/ Enjoy. If you get it to work, let me know and how. I'd quite like to get discovery and eurosport. |

IIRC (I can't say I've really looked at this much) Xtraview and RedHot transmit unencrypted on a band not normally scanned by tuners, and they release a card that tells the tuner to scan that band. I found some more details here: http://groups.google.co.uk/group/uk.tech.digital-tv/browse_thread/thread/a6b3a8883c7dd6d2/7f63f3f071cd5ac7?lnk=st&q=&rnum=2&hl=en#7f63f3f071cd5ac7 Therefore if you've got a DVB-T card, you can tell is to tune to that band and pick up those channels. (I'm not completly sure if this is the exact technical reason, but the net effect is the same) TopUp TV channels (Which I believe discovery and Eurosport are) are encrypted, and therefore this kind of hack wouldn't work. |
