| Post subject: | Transcoding ATSC stream for playback on PVR-350? |
I know this sounds sort of dumb.... I'd like to play with an HDHomerun ATSC/QAM Ethernet-attached tuner, but right now I'm pretty much stuck with using a PVR350's MPEG2 decoder HW for playback. Is there any reason I couldn't configure Myth to transcode the captured programs to an MPEG2 format acceptable to the PVR350? I realize I'll be losing resolution in some cases, but a transcoded ATSC or QAM program still has to look better than my mediocre analog cable. |
