Hi, I am running r5e27 with a pvr-250 and an hd-5500. I have been trying a bunch of stuff trying to get the listings for the hd content. (I am using Comcast Analog cable). I am confused about a couple of things.

1. I'm not sure what the problem is but I don't get a QAM-256, import or High frequency option in my mythtv-setup connection inputs. The only option I get is "Full Scan". Is there something I need to do to get this? Or am I just in the wrong place?

2. I have been trying to use the guide here:
http://www.mythtv.org/wiki/index.php/Adding_QAM_Channels_For_HDTV_Tuner_Cards
The thing I am missing is that I have something like 52 working QAM-256 channels. Some are the same as sd channels, some have goofy resolutions, some are clearly HD resolution. Is there an easy way to tell if these are just duplicates of the NTSC stuff or if they are HD channels that just happen to be broadcasting sd?

Any and all help is appreciated!

Rob

Well I have an answer to number 2.
I used a website here:
http://www.silicondust.com/wiki/hdhomerun/channels
to find the channels and pids and used this website to make sure that I had the correct frequency to the correct channel.

Any help on why I can't find a QAM-256 channel scan option?

It is under Input Connections > Scan, Change Teresterial to VSB8 256 and see if that helps

Thanks for the links. Like you I spent ages manually scanning through the digital channels on my analog Comcast cable to see what channels were in the clear. It's nice to know that SD now has that information available. With screen shots even.
