Post subject:  Comcast HD?

I'm Currently a subscriber of Comcast Digital in SE Pennsylvania, not far from Philadelphia. So if I upgrade to a digital tuner or two on my myth box (I'm thinking HD Homerun) what am I going to get?

I've heard contradictory info on what digital channels Comcast makes available. Anyone got the scoop? I'd hate to have to go OTA.

Here's a link about using a cable box:

Maybe the author could answer some questions about non-cable box for you.

I am in Philly area too and HDhomerun website has accurate listings of what you can expect to receive in clear QAM or OTA I've be using QAM for about a year and Comcast has changed the lineup about 2 times in past year.

From this link:

It looks like the cable companies are very restrictive on what goes out the firewire port, some are implementing the broadcast flag anyway. I'm pretty sure that in the very near future the only thing you will be able to get out of the firewire will be the local OTA channels, if that.

Update:
I now have an HDHomeRun. Over Comcast I can get all my local broadcast channels in SD&HD. +History Channel, Weather Channel, TBS, and some lame junk. (C-SPANNs, the local school district, etc) This is much better than I could do with an elcheapo OTA antenna. (Insert standard complaint about not being able to decrypt the channels I PAY to receive)

So, now it's just a matter of waiting to see if Comcast drops Clear-QAM when they drop analog broadcasting.
