On the HD broadcast of last night's "Lost" the correct english audio played. But now, after doing lossless transcoding to remove commercials, the Spanish track is played by default. When I select audio track on the OSD, it says:

1: Unknown AC3 1ch
2: Unknown AC3 5.1ch

where the 1ch track is the Spanish audio.

Does anybody have an idea on...

1) why it lists the 1ch spanish track first,
2) why it doesn't default to the 5.1 track,
3) how to change the default audio track for this recording (so I don't have to manually select the english track every time), or
4) how to possibly remove the spanish track from the recording?

Thanks!!

I am having this same problem not with TV but with some DVD I have selected English but Spanish is what plays. Not sure if they are related or not.

Don't know exactly about live TV, but the problem with DVD's is the internal player. Apparently there are few bugs still outstanding.
I see this problem on ripped DVD's often the English and the other language get swapped. So, in your case select the Spanish option and you should get English.

I seem to recall a similar problem to the transcoded shows a few years ago. It was reported in Europe and Australia, where DVB broadcasts are common. Lets see... no, after a quick look.... couldn't see it.

Unfortunately I don't have the time to do an exhaustive search now. Hey, but you might...

I see this problem with the Internal player, too. I've seen it only with ripped DVDs. My solution:
-re-rip the DVD and select only the sound track you want. I DON'T do this in Myth. I do it with my Mac laptop using DVDBackup. After ripping, I re-create the .ISO using DVD Imager (on my Mac laptop). Takes a little time, but removes the problem altogether.

Hope this helps!
