Revision 1.5 now available at the download page. Wish I hadn't just remotely shut down my box that has the HD3000 in it!

Not really much info here on what's new. Seems to work a smidge better for me. Still some sound problems--will have to play with alsa. Playing a 1080i channel through VLC actually plays smoothly using "blend" deinterlacing and looks darn good. Wish I could get xine-hd working though...

ceenvee what distro you using for HD?

well I haven't had any luck with native alsa. I have to use alsa oss emulation. Xine-hd works just fine on the latest r5 alpha. And Myth works fine too. Of course at this point I am not outputting 1080i since my converter is not working. And though I thought I had xvmc working I had actually recorded an SD stream instead of HD. XvMC does freeze on HD content, however I am able to playback HD content using xv without noticable skipping on my AthlonXP 1700+ which supprised me.

I somehow managed to upgrade alsa to 1.0.7 as I heard that 1.0.6 had problems with the HD3000. I'm still getting sound gradually going away when playing through vlc. How does one set up oss emulation?

Would love to use xine-hd but still have no idea how to get the xine-hd skin, where it is, or what keys to use to change channels since I don't have the skin. (Even the xine-hd install files I have don't show any evidence of a skin other than the default).

Asked a question about xine-hd and skins on the pchdtv forum but no replies. Plus pchdtv.com keeps getting hacked.

Theoretically, how would one fix a broken XvMC?

have you compiled the xine-hd from pchdtv.com? that's all I did then the skin just showed up in the skin menu.
