I'm using the Audio Authority 9A60 too. Other devices I've heard of are Key Digital KD-VCTA3 and RCA VHDC300, though I've never played with those.

I assume that you use this because your TV doesn't have DVI or HDMI inputs, correct?

Actually it does have HDMI, and I use it sometimes with a DVI to HDMI cable, but the Audio Authority seems to give me a crisper picture for 1080i.

Strange...is that because it is upconverting it in any way? I'm puzzled as to why converting to component would provide better image quality than the original signal.
