Interesting information I found in an FCC ruling. http://hraunfoss.fcc.gov/edocs_public/a ... -225A1.pdf basically the morons at comcast that didn't know what "firewire" (what the settopbox doesn't have a firewall) or ieee1394 are will have to find a box with a working firewire port and give it to me. I already knew that, but unless I'm reading something wrong more importantly they have to comply with PSIP which means my QAM channel scan should work. I guess I'm going to have to bang my head into the brick wall that is Comcast here shortly. |

I think I'm running into the same PSIP problem you have, although to a lesser extent. My Comcast cable has all the locals with their PSIP data intact. But, a few non-OTA channels that they leave unencrypted do not have PSIP data, and are not picked up by the scan. Do you have any links to information about how to manually define these channels? |
