I just got a working HD PVR (see sig for some details) working with R5A30.2. I also installed MythFrontend on an old G4 iMac (lampshade) that I would like to replace the ancient TV (circa 1980) in the my bedroom. Obviously, the little iMac doesn't have the horsepower to display a full HD recording, so what do folks recommend to watch recordings on it? The max resolution of the built-in-display is 1024x768. The machine only has 256 MB of RAM (though if bumping that up makes a big difference, I can do that). I'm running 10.4.3 currently and tested the MythFrontend with a standard def Myth box and it worked resonably well. I suspect doing something similar to the convertion for video iPods, but with a higher resolution would be one solution. What others have folks tried or would suggest. Thanks, Jon |
