Hello,

Last night I finally got my Fusion3 card to tune and record HD shows over QAM, I threw a party and every one had a good time. Not only could I tune the HDTV great, I could also tune a bunch of standard def channels.

However shortly after the party was over. One of the stations I could tune through QAM was one of my local PBS stations, TPT-Kids, but when I went to watch it the video seemed to be in slow motion, and the audio was choppy. I was very disappointed. So then I tried the other PBS stations I got through QAM, every one except the HD were in slow motion and choppy. Then I tried the other SD stations I could tune through QAM, they were all in slow-motion with very choppy audio. Actually one non-HD channel came through ok, it was the WeatherPlus, that my local NBC station broadcasts as it's second DT station.

one of things I will try tonight is to change it from PS to TS. does any one have any other suggestions?

Are you using XvMC by any chance?

no to the XvMC..

I enabled the Use TS instead of PS (or maybe it was PS instead of TS) anyway. I got my PBS stations and all the other SD stations to work correctly. However, now goofy things happen when I try to tune into my local PBS HD station, goofy things like it will record on the backend, but it will crash the frontend whenever i try and watch anything that' i've recorded or watch liveTv on that station. Here's the error it gives when I crash the frontend:

Code:

You likely won't get any video.

So now I'm not really sure what I can to do fix this.

I don't remember ever seeing this in my log files.

In one of the frontend menus there's some kind of "warp audio" option. The description text says it is experimental. To be honest, I have no idea what this is so I left it alone (unselected). Do you have that selected? If so, you may want to try turning it off.
