Got a Roku for a HD front end and found this thread

http://mysettopbox.tv/phpBB2/viewtopic. ... light=roku

that describes having to change the HD3000 recordings from program stream to transport stream in order to get the Roku to play them.

I changed the DVB setting in mythtv-setup. Is that sufficient to make all subsequent recordings TS instead of PS? Or do I need to do something else, like actually rerun mythfilldatabase?

Thanks.

the change you made is sufficient. and just a side note in future versions ps is going to be removed completely anyways.

Not sure why (as I agree that it shouldn't have been necessary) but rerunning mythfilldatabase seems to have done the trick at least as far as MythRoku goes. I couldn't play back recordings before running it (and I did run mythtv-setup to double-check that TS recording was turned on), but now I can. The Roku frontend is very bare-bones but it plays back nicely.

And I was pretty sure that things were switching to TS but thanks for the reminder, and for the help.
