I have the pcHD3000 and installed it with the the latest Knoppmyth R5A30.2. The HDTV works but my system is too under powered for HDTV - very choppy. I would like to use the pcHD3000 for good ol NTSC until I can upgrade my system, but I can't get it to work in NTSC mode.

I'm assuming I have to use "video for Linux" instead of "DVB" (maybe a bad assumption?), but when I select that in the Myth setup there are no video sources there. Nothing to connect to! Do I somehow have to remove the DVB drivers from the kernel first? I think the new Knoppmyth installs DVB automatically.

Somewhere I read that the 3000 comes up in ATSC mode. Do I need to switch the mode to NTSC on the card manually from a command line or something like that first before configuring Myth? Or will myth do that for me if I fill in the setup screen right?

Can someone point me in another direction so I can pull my hair out on the other side of my head for a while?
Thanks!
jzigmyth
