The BBC will be trialing HDTV this year with a number of programs including Wimbledon, the World Cup and Planet Earth being broadcast in HDTV.
Also Sky is launching it's own HDTV service later this year.

However, freeview is not due to be upgraded until 2008-2012, so for the time being only DVB-S 'Freesat' MythTV'ers are going to get to play with HDTV.. :(

So this is in fact the excuse I needed to buy a DVB-S card and a satelite dish? :lol:
