Yesterday my knoppmyth box failed to start mythfrontend and just displayed something about being unable to write to /tmp. So i ssh'd in and found out / was 100% full. The cause: my mythbackend.log files were around 400mb for each day!!

This same thing is just repeated 2-3 times per second!!

Code:

The only relevant thing i could find on the forums is this thread with no extra info and no solution :(
http://mysettopbox.tv/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=14368

I didn't have much luck searching google either.

Other than running out of space the box seems fine, watching and recording TV works etc

Is there any way to fix whatever its complaining about or stop it logging this message?

Hardware spec:
2 x Hauppauge Nova-T DVB cards
Athlon XP 2600
Asus A7n8x-vm mobo
ATI Radeon 9600 gfx card
512mb ram

You use EIT to find channels?

Looks to me like you have a channel that doesn't exist anymore, still there.

I would think you need to delete your channels and re-add them?

Yep I use EIT to get the channel listings. I'll try deleting the channels and rescanning!

There's a patch in the trac, I think, that limits the number of these records to something like 5 or whatever. This will give you info on if there is a problem or not, but not blow up the size of your log files.

Hehe my parents rang me up with the exact issue so I tested deleting the channels and re-scanning on them first...

The problem hasn't come back so far :)

If anyone else finds this thread, i can confirm deleting all channels and re-scanning clears the problem. I've tested it on 2 knoppmyth boxes :)

Wow...I solved a problem...that might be the first here on the KM boards.

Glad it's working for you! That's awesome!
