Is there a plugin for the MythFrontend to allow browsing Windows network shares and play content from them? Like the GeexBox does.

What you can do is mount the shares in the appropriate location and have myth scan the files and then play them to your hearts content. Check the wiki for more specific details.

Sorry, should have been more specific. I want to do this automatically without manually mounting. Like how "network neighborhood" works in Windows, browse files and double click to play... (open) within the MythFrontend if possible.

Girkers told you how to do this. Read the wiki (hint: search for samba). Once you add the samba shares to your /etc/fstab they will automount when the machine is booted.

I think what yamez is talking about is GeeXboX has a program that scans the local subnet for shares and automatically mounts them in /mnt/network . Only thing that needs to be configured on GeeXboX is the username/password it uses to authenicate to shares.

@yamez there is a program that GeeXboX uses to do the network scan and automount. It is possible if you find the name of that program it may be able to be installed on a working KM install.

As a ex GeeXboX user (great basic media player) I found it easier to do as others have suggested and use samba/autofs to mount my home network windows shares. However if you are in an enviorment where machines are added to the network that have new shares I would see the benefit of an auto network scanning util like GeeX uses.
