I've successfully ran MythBurn once, but am now getting errors:
Code:

I've searched the forum and see 1 post but no specific fix. google came up with some mentions of the error, but no fix that I could find.

Additionally, after running MythBurn on a recorded show, then trying to just simply watch it, there is no sound - Myth reports some error with the audio. I'm sure it's related, but don't know how to fix it.

Another thing, possibly related?

After watching a recorded program getting in edit mode and loading the commercial cut-list (z key) and fine-tuning it to correct cutting the commercials - I see in MythWeb (when viewing "Recorded Programs") that "has commflag:" changes to "No" and the "cutlist" remains set to "No"

Now, the shows I don't mess with still say "Yes" to commflag and "No" to cutlist. Is this normal? And if so, why? I would expect that after editing the automatic commercial flag cutlist, it would still think the commercials are still flagged and the "Cutlist" would be a "yes"

Does it only do this after doing a "transcode" (pressing the "X" key while in edit mode)?

Am I doing this all wrong? The end goal would be to remove the commercials and also run mythburn to change to .iso for burning to DVD.

I guess I still need to keep the files in MPEG-2 because I have a PVR-350 to play back the shows using TV-Out with good quality while having a slow computer.

I can't get mythburn to stop running - when it doesn't appear to be at all. The logs haven't been updated in quite some time. I don't see anything running in "top" that looks like it's a mythburn process... I've seen 1 other thread about this in the forum, but they fixed it with killing a process - one I don't see.

How can I get mythburn to stop what it's doing? (I've rebooted already) and what am I doing wrong about using it to make .iso to write to DVD?

OK - got mythburn to stop thinking it's running by removing a lock file in /myth/mythburn/

Am I trying to accomplish creating these .iso all wrong?

I believe the only problem I had was the locked process.

Otherwise - I have a slow computer (Pentium 450 with 256MB RAM) and it just takes a loooooong time to finish.

Additionally - I don't actually burn the DVDs on the Myth box. I just make an ISO and then burn them on a different computer (see above - slow system AND no DVD-ROM in it)

Hopefully someone else will chime in... I did some more research last night and as it turns out, programs that I have a cutlist for, I can burn DVD's no problem, but if I did the cutlist, then transcode them for smaller space, I get the errors above...

Anyone can chime in on this one? I have the "missing syncword" problem.

I have deleted my /myth/mythburn/temp contents but still get it.

UPDATE: so far I have found that the MPEG2 contents seem to be fine, but if I try burn the DIVX i get the error. Still investigating

I just ran in to this problem over the weekend. Originally I wasn't using the cutlist, so everything was created fine. Now after editing the cutlist and running transcode all I get are the exact same:
Code:
!> missing syncword @  165283997, @ 00:02:58.581

!> found syncword @ 165285292

!> missing syncword @  165285421, @ 00:02:58.613

!> found syncword @ 165289109

!> missing syncword @  165289878, @ 00:02:58.661

!> found syncword @ 165341516
...

I'm using R5A30.2 with a Celeron 3Ghz, 512MB RAM so I know I have enough horsepower.

Sorry to say I found no fix for this (that I remember anyway) BUT - the good news, I have no problems any more and haven't for quite some time.

Now I don't burn a lot of DVD's from my recordings, but when I do, it works just fine.

I know that doesn't help anyone out...

I'm still using an old version of KnoppMyth - R5A22. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. I've always had trouble upgrading and it's working fine for me.
