Hi

Im using xbmc as a frontend for mythtv. I can watch recorded tv fine, but live tv is a problem. Im sure this is a common problem amung xbmcmythtv users.

As for which version well Its the version of mythtv which comes on the latest knoppmyth install disk and the latest xbmcmythtv.py file.

I believe the problem is in the live tv path, Im using the same path as for recorded tv

ie

smb://myip/myth/tv

Do I need to change this for recorded tv?

Or it could be the protocol, Im not sure which one to use so I just go with what was up there, (15)

Your config should be fine since both live and recorded programs go to /myth/tv. Live TV has never really worked very well in XBMCMythTV. If you check the forums at SorceForge you'll see lots of posts about it. In fact, if you look at the top 10 or so there's one where someone has posted a CVS build which has a new LiveTV update. Give that a try and see if it's any better. Also, if you haven't already seen it you can check out:
