After getting myth installed again (R5D1), I have gotten everything working flawlessly besides the blue borders. I added the xvattr -a XV_COLORKEY 0 command into the /home/mythtv/.fluxbox/apps file but nothing changed. I then tested the command and get the error xvattr: Couldn't open display. I am currently using all the default nvidia drivers that were loaded on the box and the default XFconfig-4.tvout file.

Where can I look to get more info/what am I doing wrong? I have never had xvattr give me this error on this machine (was formerly using R5a26). Help!

Did you try it as the mythtv user from the "desktop"? Use Alt-X to pop up an xterm over the GUI and try running it there.

BTW - The exact line in your /home/mythtv/.fluxbox/apps should be:
Code:
[startup] {xvattr -a XV_COLORKEY -v 0}

I did it as root through putty. Would that affect it?

Edit: Well I tried again, but this time logged in as Mythtv and rebooted and now it works fine. Thanks for the help. But why would that change anything? I would assume that if I was logged in as root, it would do just the same as if I was not.
