Intel Celeron 2000 (downgraded to 1500 - for cooling) with 256 RAM, onboard Intel Graphics Extreme 2 graphics card.

BackendMythtv - OK

Seperate client with above config - live TV performs badly, like - missing frames - what do I need to configure ? I have checked DMA, which is ON.

I have a feeling that it might be the driver ? selected

it is Intel Extreme Graphics 2 (comp i810) - but it sets it as VESA Xorg ? is that correct ?

How can I change this ? I have tried running dpkg-reconfigure - but then MythTv won't start afterwards... even when I change it back to VESA.

any ideas ?

You'll need to install the Intel driver. See http://support.intel.com/support/graphics/sb/CS-010512.htm. nVidia GPUs are supported "out-of-the-box", I would recommend going that route.

Why? What did you anticipate that would do for you?

I thought I could set the graphics driver with -reconfigure ?

sorry if it is a stupid question, but I thought it was included ?

I tried installing :

http://packages.debian.org/unstable/x11 ... video-i810

but it says it is already installed - but ? perhaps that is not the driver ?

Well, if it's already installed, try setting Driver to i810 in your Xorg.conf file (I haven't seen where you mention which KM version you are using, so now I am assuming R5E50)
