I know everyone is probably sick and tired of all the time issues that everyone has but I cannot seem to find any help using search. My system clock is set to UTC. My mythtv is set to -0700 hours from UTC which makes it 3 hours off from EST. When I type "man tzconfig" in root I receive the message "No manual entry for tzconfig". Before I get a nasty message from anyone, I AM trying to follow the instructions in the wiki http://www.knoppmythwiki.org/index.php? ... GuideIsOff. What do I do next? How do I change the timezone. BTW I have set the offset for EIT Listings to Auto and I have also set XMLTV listing to Auto. I also have done the "mythfilldatabase --refresh-all". Please help because I am stumped.

Is this incorrect? You didn't state what timezone you are in, and there's no location information in your profile.

What version of KM are you using? All my R5D1 systems have tzconfig and the man pages.

Does your system have tzsetup?

I am running R5F1. I do not know if I am doing this right but if I type "nano tzconfig" or "nano tzsetup" in the root directory both come up with out any entries in them. Is this where I edit them or should I be doing something else?

Only if you are trying to edit them (and I wouldn't recommend that  ). nano is a text editor, you want to run (execute) tzconfig.

Logged in as root, just type tzconfig (or tzsetup) and answer the prompts...

EDIT: You may want to read through http://www.knoppmythwiki.org/index.php?page=LinuxTips as well /EDIT

If I type in tzconfig or tzsetup I get "Command not found".

Hmmm, it's apparently not installed by default. See http://mysettopbox.tv/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=14085 , but note that the most current file to wget is tzdata_2007f-4_all.deb

Slowtolearn you are the man!!!! It worked. I looked at that page a while ago but didn't give it a second thought because it had to do with DST. I would have never know about the updated version either. Thank you so very much.

The tzconfig utility may have been replaced by another command like (from the tzselect man page) 'dpkg-reconfigure tzdata'.

You can also run the command used by the phase 2 setup scripts:
Code:
/usr/local/bin/KnoppMyth-tz

I've updated the wiki page.
