I have a knoppmyth box with PCHDTV-3000 and a PVR-500.

I'm trying to add some Digital channels that don't show up with channel names. I followed the directions on the myth wiki for adding HD QAM channels. This all works just fine.

Here is the problem: When I do a scan of most unknown channels I get a channel entry of (channel)#(subchannel), i.e 5#1, which is correct. Several channels are showing up as 1008-0 though, and they are overwriting each other in the database, so I only get the last one.

Any idea why it is doing this? If I ask for a channel name of 5#1, why am I getting one that is formatted with an dash?

I'm scanning Time-warner in Durham (Raleigh, NC) one of the channels that is doing this is frequency 615Mhz, the channels.conf entry is:

FOX:615000000:QAM_256:81:82:10

I've tried adding this as a new channel, scanning just this frequency (works, but there are 3 sub-channels, I only get 1 in DB)

Any thoughts?

I had the same problem with my cable connection. You'll probably have to edit the DB manually to change the channel id and rerun the channel scan. Check out this thread for how I edited my DB.
