Just curious...

What is the proper way to restore transcoded recordings back to the original file and have them recognized in the recorded shows list?

Transcoded filename = filename.nuv
Backed up Original = filename.mpg.old

Currently using Knoppmyth R5E50.

off the top of my head, and with lots of overhead as to not lose anything important:
mv filename.nuv filename.nuv.bak
cp filename.mpg.old filename.nuv
mythcommflag --rebuild --file filename.nuv
check out the playback in myth
rm -f filename.nuv.bak
rm -f filename.mpg.old
