Well, here we go :)

I recently put together a new mythbox to replace my old one, so it can retire to my parents house. All in all, I've been running fairly well except for this one issue.

I installed the 100.14.11 nvidia driver, as I have a Biostar TF7050-M2 mainboard I really wanted to use for my upgraded box. Everything works perfectly for a few minutes to a few hours, until the display stops functioning. There's still sound, and I can use the menus by memory if I choose. Video comes back if I manage to hit the 'restart', so it seems to just be in X.

I know I've seen something about this issue (or something similar) a while back regarding newer nvidia drivers, but I can't seem to find mention of it anywhere now. Hopefully someone has some ideas :)

System internals are the following:
Biostar TF7050-M2 Mainboard (nvidia 7050 chipset)
Athlon 64 X2 3600+ (65w)
2GB DDR2 memory (overkill, but it was on sale)
Seagate 500GB SATA HDD
Liteon SATA dvd-rw
PVR-500
PVR-150
onboard video / sound being used, and everything wrapped snuggly in an Antec NSK2400 case

Well, I knew I was missing something... while putzing through the logs to figure it out, I noticed that it wasn't kicking out on me. Turns out I left DPMS on, hence the blanking. Purged it and the output stays on ;)

A small note here for others with the board; Xv wasn't working for a while, so mplayer wasn't displaying video with the flags I had set as default (specifically -vo xv). Removing the "Module" section from the xorg.conf file fixed that up nicely (XvMC still spits out "unsupported 3D architecture" though).
