I downloaded the patched script and everything worked except for the director. So I changed the following line:
my $director = parseBetween($response,">Directored by", "/a><br/>");
TO
my $director = parseBetween($response,">Drector:</h5", "/a><br/>");

In others words just change "Directed by" to "Director"

Well, It seems as though this is broke again.

I have tried everything above, but that di not fix anything.

Heres the minor problem: I'm getting everything except the director's name.

R5D1 i believe

It seems as of to day, the IMDB server is down or maybe there is another change to make.

I am running R5F1

and no dice with IMDB. Just me?

I uploaded some vids to my box last night and I was trying to update the info and found that no search results were found. I thought it might be my Knoppmyth box having problems connecting to the internet as I had recently replaced my network switch.

Knowing that someone else was having the issue is a relief. Connected to imdb directly seems to work, I will try again tonight when I get home to see if it is working.

I had the same problem yesterday. The "search imdb" button didn't work, but Firefox (Iceweasel) looked up the info very quickly from the web site. I ended up just using Iceweasel to get the tt number and inputting it directly, which worked very well.

Use the workaround for now. I'm not planning on looking at it at the moment because it would take ages.

I would love to try the work around. But I don't understand it. What website is Iceweasel using? Is that the work around you are referring to?

I R DUMb...lol, need directions.

Code:
wget -O imdb.pl http://svn.mythtv.org/trac/browser/branches/release-0-20-fixes/mythplugins/mythvideo/mythvideo/scripts/imdb.pl?format=raw
diff /usr/share/mythtv/mythvideo/scripts/imdb.pl imdb.pl
cp imdb.pl /usr/share/mythtv/mythvideo/scripts/imdb.pl

The results of the diff should look more or less like http://svn.mythtv.org/trac/changeset/13 ... 0-20-fixes without the pretty colors...

Yes. It's the latest version of the imdb.pl Perl script from the fixes branch.
