Has the wiki guide been tried on R5C7?

I was attempting to do so, however I got the error mentioned above with the NUV file. Otherwise, it seemed to work just fine!

Is this file a NuppelVideo file? The filename would suggest it is. In which case you will have to update to a very recent version of myth so that MythArchive can get the stream information from these files. Also you will have to update ffmpeg also so it can read these file so they can be re-encoded.

There is a thread on the mythtv users list about this very problem.

I tried updating to the latest version of SVN for MythTV, MythPlugins and MythArchive. It gets farther, but now it crashes on its own:
Code:
root@mythtv:/myth/sample# mytharchivehelper -i 1000_20060525011100.nuv streaminfo.xml

Any ideas? :)

EDIT: After further testing, it looks like there is some kind of memory leak or something, as it chews up 20 Mb of RAM every second once it gets to the "Calculating frame count." Is there a minimum amount of RAM needed to use MythArchive?

1. Probably isn't a min. ram requirement b/c I just got it to work with 256mb

2. After a little tweaking I was able to get it to install from the wiki instructions on a fairly bare R5C7 upgrade.

Tweaks - There are two main problems with installing from the wiki instructions, but It seems they both would be fixed if the latest version on mythtv is used with the latest of mytharchive
1) the install files reference files in the mythtv source which are in the incorrect location. I had to sym link my mythtv source to /usr/include and change the includes in some of the mytharchive files to include the addition of the mythtv/libs/ dir. I read that these headers are now included directly in the mytharchive build, so this may not be needed with the latest.
2) I had to comment out the link to mythlivemedia in mytharchive/mytharchivehelper/mytharchivehelper.pro. I'm not sure what mythlivemedia is, but I believe it comes with a later version of mythtv and I was able to burn a dvd without it...so I guess it's not too crucial.

I've only burned one dvd so far and it worked great except for the myth cutpoints seemed to be a little off. I'm not sure the source of this problem, but it's not a big deal since I plan of transcoding out the commercials before I burn stuff anyways.
