Hi all,

I have searched and cannot find the answer..only that lossless MPEG2 transcode is avail in .19

Basically I am running R5A26 w/ a PVR350. I manually mark my own commercials...

I want to be able to just "transcode" the MPEG2 to MPEG2 with the commercials gone, is this possible with mythtv .018(R5A26)???

Not the answer you want to hear, but no it's not without substantial hacking. There is a hack that one of the DVB guys came up with but it was a bit rough around the edges and probably got abandoned as soon as the lossless mpeg-2 to mpeg-2 transcode appeared in 0.19. Any reason that you're clinging to 0.18?

Is it safe to upgrade to the latest? Here is my system:

Via EPIA SP12000
250GB drive
PVR 350

Any issues I should worry about??
