Post subject: | MythTV Menu Ratio |
Can someone tell me what the aspect ratio is for the myth menu. I am displaying it on a wide screen tv and if I stretch it to the size of my screen it distorts the menu. So, I have decided to make it the height of the TV and then deal with bars on either side of the menu. However, I want a little distortion as possible so I want to match the default ratio of the menu. If I know this ratio then I can set my horizontal to match the vertical I currently have. Any help is appreciated. Thanks. |

The UI? It depends. Most of them are 4:3 but there are 16:9 widescreen ones available too. You do realize that you can change this in the Appearance section under the settings menu, right? |

Hey tjc, you always seem to be the one helping me ![]() I was trying to make those changes in the appearance menu by adjusting the horizontal and vertical numbers. However, when I made those changes it was stretching the image. The menu I am working with must be one of the 4:3 ones (I'm using Blue). I haven't found a menu I like better than Blue so I'll probably just stick with having bars on the sides. I really like having seperate icons for each menu item instead of the representation that every other gui seems to have. |

There are a couple of "after market addon" themes available that are designed for 16:9 widescreens. Visit the MythTV themes page at http://www.mythtv.org/wiki/index.php/Category:Themes It only lists two but I know that I've seen others. E.g FrazeIHD (http://www.myth2ipod.com/) Googling for "mythtv widescreen theme" should turn up more. |

FrazelHD still isn't complete, correct? There is still no download link on the site for it. I just wanted to make sure that I wasn't missing something. |
