When I try to use gallery mode in MythVideo it becomes basically unusable. Switching to gallery mode takes about 2-3 minutes, and then any navigation takes another 30-45 seconds for the keypress to be recognized. In Listings or Browse mode performance is very fast.

My videos are all stored in folders, and the folders are the first screen to come up, so I don't think it's an issue of loading the images. I also do not have the box checked for MythVideo to browse the directories.

My machine is a P4 2.0 GHz with 512 MB RAM, so I can't see any reason why the performance here would be so sluggish. Using gallery mode to browse for movies to watch would really help the WAF. Any ideas?
