i have my knoppmyth (r5c7) box up and running.

what steps need to be taken to use the tv out function of my pvr350?

the answer seems to be that this version is ready for it out of the box, but i don't know how to turn it on. thanks.

Wow, where did this sudden burst of newbies with PVR-350's come from? Did some vendor have a big sale? Or did some magazine publish an article using/recommending that as _the_ card to get? This seems like the 3rd or 4th one in the last week or so...

The setup script is called "/usr/local/bin/setup_350.sh". You need to run it as root. If you don't know how to run commands at a Unix/Linux shell prompt see this wiki page. http://www.knoppmythwiki.org/index.php?page=LinuxTips

Edit - Added quote marks to delineate the command.

setup_350.sh doesn't exist in that directory. :(

Try this to find it:
Code:
locate 350
This really should be there on a current version like R5C7. BTW - You didn't include the black period after the red command name by any chance did you?

i found test350.sh

it asks me to run perl /usr/local/bin/getpvr.pl

it displays...

pvrurl=

it asks if the url listed above looks correct. well thee is no url listed, so i say no.

it then asks for the correct url??

If you don't have /usr/local/bin/setup_350.sh there is something wrong with your install. Boot from the install CD using the "testcd" option and make sure everything checks out OK.
