Been running boinc on my mythbox for some weeks now, and I notice that the audio keeps getting dropped from some of the recordings. When I checked top while myth2ipod was running and a show was being recorded simultaneously, I noticed that both ffmpeg and boinc was at nice 19. I've tried desperately to renice ffmpeg to 15 so boinc would only run when _nothing_ else was running. Tried editing the myth2ipod and the iPod.pm scripts to renice the processes, but I've not succeeded. Please help. I really want to continue donating my spare cycles to climateprediction.net and the rosetta@home project |
