Post subject: | 2 remaining issues (audio and channel changing) |
I’m just about set with knoppMyth, 2 (actually 3 but I’ll work on the HD issue later) issues remaining ![]() If anyone can help, I’d appreciate it. I do have a remote (Hauppauge A415) with a new HD DirecTv receiver and can’t get Myth to change channels. So basically I gave up on the remote (for now) and decided to just use the keyboard so I can at least start recording my favorite shows. OK, so here’s the deal, I have everything set up correctly (at least I think) , but for some reason when I click on the up or down arrow on my keyboard, the OSD comes up with the new channel info, but the channels do not change. With that being said what it needed to have this happen? The strange thing is that If I go to the “Schedule a Recording” menu, and select a program to record, it will tell me that the program that I tried to record was successfully recorded, but when I go to “Watch Recordings” to view the program, it will tell me the name of the program I recorded (correctly) but the program that it recorded is the channel that the DTV box is currently on. I’m hoping someone can lend a hand ![]() My only other issue at the current moment is sound, the quality is listenable but not to good. I’m currently utilizing on board sound but do have an Audigy card (haven’t tried it). Is there any configuration that needs to be done to the sound options that can remedy this problem? I also have a few other questions that relate to video and recording. Is it possible to watch one recording an record another, if so, how is this achieved with 1 DirecTv receiver. Thanks again, Mr. Noobishness |

Do you have some means for the KM box to control your cable box setup? Did you set up an external tuner control script to send the commands to your IRblaster or other control connection? This isn't magic, there has to be some way for the command to get sent, and you have to set it up. Searching for "irblaster" here and on the wiki should find you lots of setup directions and examples. E.g. - http://www.knoppmythwiki.org/index.php? ... asterHowTo BTW - If this helps give the money to Cecil, as he's the one who is out of pocket for the expenses of running this show. I will be making my donations for sure. Thanks a bunch. The problem I found regarding the script is that I'm trying to run an irblaster to control my DTV h20 STB but the only directions available seem to be for usb/serial connections. Has anyone got the IRBlaster from the pvr150 to work with the h20 |
