Ok, I downloaded MythTV .20-fixes and I ran make (after of course running ./configure, qmake, etc) and I receive these errors all throughout the build process: distcc[20179] (dcc_get_hostlist) Warning: no hostlist is set; can't distribute work distcc[20179] (dcc_build_somewhere) Warning: failed to distribute, running locally instead The version I am trying to install it on is Knoppmyth R5C7 and i had apt-get gcc version 3.3 prior to running make. I did not remove the DEB package of .19 that came with R5C7 yet as I wanted to make sure that I could build .20 without any errors. Can I ignore these Warnings? It hasn't completed the make process yet so I am not sure if I will have errors or if the make process bombs yet. Thanks. *********EDIT************ Ok, it just finished and I did not see any errors reported just the Warnings as noted above. Can I ignore them or will it pose a problem? Thanks again. |

You can ignore those. The makefiles are set up to use distcc to have a group of machines on the same LAN share the load to speed up compiles, but lacking that it works OK on a single isolated machine. |

Thanks, I actually found a page describing this to. I installed .20 without a hitch. |
