I am new to Mythtv trying to switch over from tivo. I am really used to the "30 second skip." I'm trying to change the default 60 second skip on MythTv to 30 seconds. I've tried several things on my lircrc file.

It seems to be mapped to the Page Up key. Is there a way to change this?

While watching playback of any recording (and Live TV counts as a recording) the right arrow is a 30 second skip forward by default...

Are you tring to change the skip ammount for the MythTV internal player? Or for Mplayer/Xine (mythVideo)? You only need to edit the .lircrc file if you are changing the skip amount for Mplayer/Xine. The skip ammount for the MythTV internal player is set in the [utilities-setup] menu in mythfrontend.
