Post subject: | can't mythburn a transcoded show? nuv files bad? |
Several days ago I transcoded some shows using the default settings, which was mpeg-4 lossy, which shrank a 1.1 gig half hour show to 600 meg after also cutting commercials. The other day, I changed the default, as far as I can tell, to use mpeg-2 lossless. I can't tell because if I try to transcode, it results in an error. However, it's moot since I won't be needing to transcode. The problem is that the transcoded files all show up as .nuv files, and mythburn doesn't seem to recognize them. Using the interface, after select 5 transcoded files and 1 non-transcoded, the final screen seems to indicate that the transcoded files should be cut. (I don't know what that screen is intended to mean other than there being a scissor image above the list of shows, with only the non-transcoded having checkmarks.) When I push the final button to start, it quits with an error. Below is the log. (btw, I'm trying it again with just non-transcoded files and so far it's working.) ======================================= MythBurn Script is running as user mythtv Video format = NTSC Background image = /myth/mythburn/images/backgrounds/gradient-dodgerblue.png Background music = /myth/mythburn/music/funky1.mp2 Make ISO image = yes Burn to DVD-R = no Delete VIDEO_TS = no Highlight image = barbwire.png Animated thumbnails = no Chapter Submenus = no Recode to AC3 = no MythTV files are in /myth/tv Creating DVD at 11-10-2006 22:04.... I am now having this same problem. Was there ever a resolution for this? |

The only solution I've found is to not transcode. When I burn a show, I just use the mythburn option only, with the Use Cutlist checkbox marked. I'm guessing that the software than burns to dvd can't handle the nuv format yet. I'm using .19 though, and the .20 might work better. |
