Post subject: | Question regarding Watch TV |
This is probably simply to do but I haven't explored it much yet. When I select the 'Watch TV' option from the main menu, the channel always goes to the first channel on the program listing. Is there a way to override this? For example, if there is a scheduled recording currently being recorded, say channel 200, and I'm looking at pictures or listening to MP3s, if I select the 'Watch TV' option, I don't want myth to go back to the first channel (say channel 10) while 200 is currently being recorded. Thanks, -b0b_cat2000 |

With one tuner card, If the system is making a scheduled recording and you try to Watch Live TV, it will tell you that "all inputs are currently in use". If you've got two cards and both are making recordings when you go to Watch Live TV it will do the same. However the recordings it's making will already be available in the "Watch Recordings" menu for you to view. If all of your cards aren't in use, the system will make your "Live" TV recording using the first unused one it's it's rotation. If you had a second front end, that could then see this "live" recording in the "Watch Recordings" menu. Most of the time (but not always) when you go to watch live TV it will go to the last channel you were watching. Or maybe it's just the last channel that the card in question was tuned to by you or the scheduler. |

I thought I saw a setting in either MythTVsetup or in the Utilities Setup menu for that. Something about return to last channel watched or Return to first channel in your Channels list. Not at my box right now so I can't look maybe someone else can post an update. Andy |
