are there hd capture cards for mythtv so i can record the hd channels from my stb |

I don't want to sound critical, fuzzy, but even the most cursory look at this forum would reveal an entire section devoted to digital TV. You could just scan the titles of the threads -- not even a search is needed -- and every question you might ask is answered. Yes, you can record HD signals. However, if you are using a set-top box from your cable co., then you probably want to use a firewire connection instead. If your set-top box is for satellite, you're out of luck, there is no known way to record HD from a sat receiver. If you have an over-the-air set-top box, then you can essentially replace it with a recorder card in your PC. You can support multiple cards so you can record more than one show at a time. |
