Post subject:  Multiple frontend and mythcommflag

Hi,

I have 2 separate boxes running R5C7. One box is FE/BE and the other only has the FE. The FE on both boxes work just great except when it comes to commercial skipping. On the FE/BE box, a commflagged recorded show shows the commflag icon and comm skipping works fine (hitting z). On the stand alone FE, the commflag icon is also shown for the same recording but when hitting Z, the FE reports that commflag is not enabled.

Any one have any idea what's going on here? Could this possibly be a bug?

Thanks,
P.

I am also running 2 frontends. The difference is, I also run a slave backend on the 2nd frontend. If you are only running 1 backend for both, check to see in the setup on the FE/BE machine, that you do not have the box checked next to "only on recording host", might be a place to start. I run the slave, to help divide up the workload. But you should be able to have one do both.

Hope that is a good place to start for you.

Now I'm running FE/MBE and FE/SBE and everything seems to work now.
Thanks for the tip.
