I've been working on getting myth setup and I've run into a new problem. I had guide listings for Starchoice, then suddenly while I was trying to toruble shoot a problem with "watch tv" producing just static. I lost the guide entirely. When I run the mythtv-setup program and set the video source for data direct, it fails to retrieve the listings. The field for lineup is blank and I can't set starchoice(postalcode) how do I fix this? I verified that my account information on http://labs.zap2it.com is correct, I even changed my password and reset the info in myth. but nothing!

also is there a way do run any of these commands remotely? Trying to run commandlines on my Tv is starting to make me go blind!!

I tried running mythtv-setup through putty but no go.

There's something screwy going on with zap2itlabs right now. They seem to have changed the format for the HD guides. People are working on solutions they've posted in various threads here.

So I guess I'm stuck until they sort things out. I can't watch tv with the guide empty

With all the issues getting Mythtv setup, I might just crack and get a copy of XP Media Center

Is there a How To to set up channels manually? Haven't been able to find out much info. Might be good in the interum.

Got it sorted, I had to delete my entire profile and create a new one and then I was able to download the guide information
