All:

KNOPPMYTH R5 Delightful 1
Pentium III
512 RAM
350 Tuner Card

Good News: I can view and record Live TV. :D
Bad News : I cant hear any audio from media files ie. DVD, DivX, etc. :cry:

alsamixer appears to be pointing to the sound card instead of the 350.
Is there a way to get ALSA to use 350 for "ALL" audio?

Hi,

Depends on your setup. Normally if you wish to hear everything through the system and be able to control it too, you would need to feed the tv audio from the dongle cable back into line in (umute and adjust alsamixer levels) and then all audio is on the line out. You may have to change the audio mixer setting in the utilities/setup to use master instead of pcm also for the remote & (f10 f11) to work.

You can't get all audio out through the 350, it's just not a sound card. The usual trick to get unified output is to take the audio output from the PVR-350 and loop it ba\ck into either the line-in or micrrophone for your sound card, then take all of your audio output from the sound card which has the mixer capabilities to merge multiple sources into a unified output.
