I've just barely got a frontend/backend set up on a single box, and I now realize it would be nice to have a network boot frontend. Only problem is I'm using a Hauppauge remote (with the card as the IR receiver), so my question is: is it possible to control the frontend with the remote receiver plugged into the backend? Or is it possible to have the tuner card installed in the frontend and have the backend connect to it?

If the backend is close enough to have the remote plugged into it, why do you need a separate frontend machine?
