I'm running R5D1 with Cecil's v.20 updates

This has worked well for several months but now problems seem to be creeping in. Besides the error message "Error Was encountered while displaying video" (which is in another thread) I've noticed that my Live TV recording are no longer being deleted. I can see in the logs the messages like this one:
Code:
2007-04-08 23:02:12.325 Expiring The Apprentice: Los Angeles from Sun Apr 8 22:00:00 2007, 175 MBy
tes, forced expire (LiveTV recording)
2007-04-08 23:02:12.352 autoexpire: Expiring Program: Expiring The Apprentice: Los Angeles from Sun
Apr 8 22:00:00 2007, 175 MBytes, forced expire (LiveTV recording)

Yet the programs is still there. I still have to manually delete them. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

What happens if you explicitly delete them? Does it work or fail?

I can delete them from the user interface or web interface without a problem.

Are you using the "delete slowly" option? I forget what screen it's on, but it's one of those checkbox type options. I do not use it, but from what I understand if you do, MythTV "slowly" deletes expired programs and the like. This means it may take a while (many hours?) to rid your system of the files although all indications say it's already gone.

Delete slowly was checked. I unchecked it and I'll see what happens. Thanks for the suggestion.

Sorry for the delay in posting this and things are working correctly again. Looks like the "Delete Slowly" option was the problem.

Thanks!!
