Live tv works fine, and I can even record from live tv , but scheduled recordings fail. This the only thing that is not working for me in the current version. Here are the relevant lines from the logs: 2007-04-22 23:01:48.848 Channel(/dev/video0): SetInputAndFormat() failed 2007-04-22 23:01:48.852 TVRec(3) Error: Failed to set channel to 39. It always doesn't seem to make an attempt to change the channel on my comcast box , infact it looks like nothing happens. Thanks |

So how is your MythTV box controlling the cable box? Firewire? Serial cable? IR Blaster? PFM? Does the script you specified as the "external channel change command" return an exit status of 0 (success)? |

it attach using serial and it the channel binary that cam with the distro . You can find the source code in the mythtv conrtib . the cable box is motorola dct2224 and I can change the channel with in live tv and at the command line. Also recording never failed before the upgrade to this version. And for awhile it was intermittently failing, now it is just failing all the time. |
