My list of recording schedules is all messy with dozens of shows and movies.
I was wanting to know if there is a mysql command that would clear them all out with out effecting the rest of the database.

I suspect that you'd be better off doing this through the FE or the MytWeb interface. Figuring out the dependencies in the DB could be messy.
