Hello all,

I have my mythrig working very well and am very pleased I am now tring the other features like gallery and music have run into a few snags that I hope the community can help with:

Myth Music: I copied a mp3 song to the music directory but when I go to play it does not show up? I tried scan for all music and still nothing what am I doing wrong here?

Myth Video: I am able to add and play videos but when I play a video it defaults to the motherboard sound output instead of the soundblaster output? In the general setup I have it set to be soundblaster output only am I missing a setting somewhere? Should I disable the mother board sound thru the bios?

Any help provided would be much appreciated!,

-Eric

Make sure your music directory in music setup is /myth/music, then do a scan for music. It should show up.

Your easiest fix for the sound is to disable the onboard sound through the bios.

In regards to your Mythvideo problem, I too recommend that you disable your onboard sound if your not using it. Could I also suggest that Mythvideo generally uses an external player (mplayer/xine) and you will find that they will not conform to the settings in MythTV.

You can use the internal player for MythTV and it will follow the settings you have set failing that you may need to check the command line options for the other players.

Hey guys thanks for the advice I got everything working now. Apparently for the music side it has to be in a folder and in mp3 format

As far as the video goes you need to go in and use the video manager

I have one last thing to sort out how does one add album cover art for the music side can't seem to find that option I found it for the video side

Thanks,
-Eric
