Post subject:  Composite Input with Dish

I just moved back home for the summer and the place I am living has Dish Network. Its a two input satellite receiver so I used RCA plugs to hook up my PVR-500. Watching regular TV works fine through both tuners but if I try and record something, I get a file not found when I go to watch the program. This box worked absolutely flawlessly while using regular cable when I was back at school. Any ideas whats going on here?

Also, the recordings say they don't have any length of time. For example, last nights The Office says it goes from 7:00PM - 7:00PM.

Here is part of it from a working recording I did earlier this week.

Now, I don't have an IR Blaster yet. I forgot I would need one and just ordered it when I got home, so it will be here in a couple of days. Is this producing this error (and subsequently just not recording anything) because it thinks it needs to change the channel but can't and will this problem go away once I have the IR Blaster??

Thanks!

You need to convince Myth that something is changing the channels - Use /bin/true until you get your blaster http://mysettopbox.tv/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=14576

Certainly appears that putting /bin/true in the change channel command does the job. Should work like a dream once I get the IR Blaster so I don't have to manually change these channels. Thanks!
