I'm using Dvico Tvix (http://www.tvix.co.kr/Eng/) to play programs that my MythTV records from over-the-air HD via NFS. This works really well, but I'm hitting some annoyances with the links in the "pretty" directory.

First of all, the recordings and links are created with an ".mpg" extension instead of ".ts". This causes the Tvix to get confused. Renaming the links to ".ts" solves the problem.

The second problem is that the links are absolute, not relative. So they can't be seen over NFS. If I change them from "/myth/tv" to "../tv" everything works as expected.

Does anyone have a workaround for these problems? Sounds like I need a way to create relative links with a .ts extension. The only things I can come up with are to either hack the mythrename.pl script or to set up a cron job that fixes up the links once every N minutes.

Boris

I'd recommend fixing the script or you'll be constantly battling it over the names. It already runs on a regular basis to create the links and clean up any it doesn't recognize...
